Microneedling is a very popular skin treatment trend among patients with a variety of age-related skin problems as well as in patients with common skin conditions such as acne.

Collagen and elastin are two naturally occurring proteins that are responsible for the youthful firmness of your skin. However, with age, the production of both these proteins in our body tends to slow down – leading to skin dullness and loss of natural firmness and uneven skin texture in addition to other age-related skin conditions.

Microneedling has proven to be very effective in stimulating the production of both these essential skin proteins and in promoting the natural rejuvenation process of the skin. At his plastic surgery center in Irvine microneedling is offered by Dr. Smith for patients who want to restore their natural youthful skin appearance by reducing common signs of aging quickly and painlessly and without the need for any surgical intervention.

What Can Microneedling Do For Me?

Some of the age-related skin problems that can be effectively minimized with microneedling include the appearance of age spots, dullness of skin, overly large pores, irregular skin tone and texture, fine lines and wrinkles, and firmness of the skin. Microneedling has also proven to be highly effective in treating acne marks.
